We have now contacted everyone who submitted chapter proposals for the upcoming book. We want to thank you all for an amazing and overwhelming response. You submitted short of 50 abstracts. We only needed 15. So we were left having to disappoint far more potential contributors than we could welcome into the single volume.
In bringing together an edited volume, there are a number of reasons why otherwise brilliant ideas just don’t fit, some related to the proposal, others related to how chapters nestle next to each other. But by far the clearest consideration is outlined in the sketch below.
The Meddler in us would love to say yes to all the fun ideas and laugh in the face of convention. It was the Doctor in us that recognised the need for academic constraint.
